Engagement Session at the National Cathedral in D.C.

Did Punxsutawney Phil see his shadow this Groundhog Day? Personally, I'm not sure, but I am sharing some photos from a beautiful warm and sunny day with C + J from their engagement session at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. So, if you're wanting a brief escape from the snow, rain and cold we've been having recently, the photos in this post are for YOU!

When I tell you that J really planned his proposal to C down to the minute, I mean, he really did plan it down to the second! He spent a good 2-3 months ahead of time planning the events leading up to the proposal and after. He even visited their proposal 'spot' multiple times before, when the flowers hadn't quite bloomed yet, but it totally paid off - just look at all the beautiful Spring colors around them!

While J preferred a more private proposal, he did want their engagement session to take place where he had originally proposed to C, and it made for such an intimate space for them to just be themselves and document their love in a place that is special to them and their story.

I actually met with them the day following their proposal, so they were still feeling all the feels, and you can definitely tell in their photos!

They were so genuine in who they are, and I so appreciate their vulnerability in allowing themselves to be just that - themselves during our time together. I really think I was able to capture them and their relationship in these images.

C + J will be saying "I do" this year, and I certainly wish them a lifetime of happiness together!
